Once Buddha was asked by his disciples, what is self? Buddha asked all the others in the gathering, what is a chariot? Is it only the horse? Is it only the wheel? Is it only the person who rides the horse? Or is it an amalgamation of all that makes the chariot? The disciple who asked the question understood the deeper meaning and did not probe further.
In a similar manner, Secular ethics as a concept is a collection of many universal and humanistic values, underpinned by scientific studies, evidence and common sense. We believe that it is important know about the vision and mission of Secular Ethics and also to understand how this approach can unite us and benefit our community, nation and world at large.
